Biography
I am a faculty at Wellcome Sanger Institute, Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, CCAIM, and the University of Cambridge. I am the scientific co-founder of AI VIVO and also a member of ELLIS.
We aim to leverage AI and advanced experimental techniques to engineer cells, modulate their response to diseases and perturbations, and translate them for diagnostics, therapeutics, and drug discovery.
I have received multiple awards for my research (see example) and have been featured in press/journals (see research). Additionally, I have been awarded multiple fellowships, grants, and scholarships, including those from Joachim Herz, EMBL, Meta, Open Targets, and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
Previously, I completed my PhD in Computational Biology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Helmholtz Munich under the supervision of Fabian Theis.
